          This work offers a wide variety of poetic forms and approaches, ranging from contemplation to surrealism, from the philosophical poem to the marvelous, from impressionism to nightmarish landscapes. In many places, one will also discover that rap is not far away.

           Comme une eau seule draws heavily on the symphonic model. Four movements follow one another: Citadelle de vent (Moderato); Incantations (Furioso); La Région crépusculaire (epic Allegro); Requiem (Largo). An epilogue forms a softly murmured coda that brings this poetic quest to a close.

​

           The title refers to the recurring line in this collection: “La lune advenue comme une eau seule”; a generative line whose periodic return ensures the melodic unity of the work. And to echo Paul Valéry’s words on symbolism, this book “takes back from music what belongs to it.”

         

           Many of the poems should therefore be read aloud. Try it. You will see.
